The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is the highest form of prayer in the Catholic Church. At Mother of Divine Mercy, we invite you to submit your prayer intentions – whether for the repose of the soul of a loved one, in celebration of a birthday or anniversary, or for a specific personal need.
To ensure that as many members of our community as possible can participate in this gift, we offer these intentions based on the following guidelines:
Guidelines for Requests
Monthly Limit: We accept a maximum of 30 intentions per month (one for each daily Mass). Once this limit is reached, the booking form will close until the following month.
No Cost: We believe prayer should be accessible to all. These Mass intentions are offered entirely free of charge.
One per Person: To allow everyone a chance to have their intentions heard, we kindly ask that you submit only one (1) request per person each month.

Why Offer a Mass Intention?
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is the “source and summit” of our Christian life. When we offer a Mass for a specific intention, we are joining our personal prayers to the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross. It is the most powerful form of intercession possible because it is not just our own prayer, but the prayer of Christ Himself, offered through the hands of the priest for the needs of the world.
By requesting a Mass, you are asking the entire community to stand in faith with you, bringing your specific petition before the altar of God.
Common Types of Intentions
You may offer a Mass for almost any holy or noble purpose. If you are unsure how to phrase your request, here are a few common examples:
- For the Deceased: To pray for the repose of the soul of a loved one (e.g., “For the soul of Mary”).
- For Healing and Health: For those struggling with physical, mental, or spiritual illness (e.g., “For the recovery and health of John Smith”).
- In Thanksgiving: To express gratitude for a favor received, a successful surgery, or general blessings (e.g., “In thanksgiving for the blessings on the Miller family”).
- Special Milestones: To celebrate birthdays, wedding anniversaries, or baptisms (e.g., “For Sarah on her 18th birthday”).
- In Times of Trial: For those seeking strength, guidance, or peace during difficult transitions or job searches.
- General Intentions: For world peace, for the Holy Father, or for an “unspoken” private intention known only to God.
